Elgato Wave Link - A Simple Audio Interface For Mac OS X
If you're looking for a simple audio interface for macOS, you can try Elgato Wave Link. This software automatically detects and installs new audio effects, so you don't have to do anything to get started. Once the Wave Link app is open, you can click the icon of audio effects to apply them to the Monitor, Stream, or MicrophoneFX mix. Each Wave Link input channel can hold up to 10 audio effects, and you can re-arrange them by clicking and dragging them onto the channel. Please note, however, that any new audio effects will introduce additional audio latency.
Unlike some other audio interfaces, Wave Link works by syncing with your computer's audio settings, allowing you to easily adjust the sound on the stream. It also allows you to switch between audio sources without re-encoding everything. If you're unsure how to do this, you should watch an Elgato video tutorial before purchasing this device. Otherwise, you'll have to spend money on an expensive mixing board and a lot of time clicking through different streaming software.
If you don't own an Elgato capture card, you can add it as an input to your Wave Link. However, Elgato does not guarantee that non-Elgato capture cards will work in Wave Link. Wave Link also lets you add VST audio effects to your captured audio. In addition to that, it also allows you to stop double audio and other problems with capture card audio. This makes the Wave Link an excellent audio mixing solution for many situations.
